Yesterday our son, Nic, staked out the corners of the house and porch in preparation of the excavator's arrival this morning.
In the past few weeks Tony and Nic had cut down several trees in order to clear the area for the house. It really bothered me to have to cut down something that had lived so long on this earth. But come to think of it, it bothers me to intentionally kill almost any plant. By the way, this is Sox. She adopted us last spring.
